Life Thus Far

HI HI! :D
So it's been awhile since I've posted anything.
Well, it's cause I've been busy with school!
As I mentioned, I'm behind in readings! D:
Although, I did manage to catch up.
But I somehow have fallen behind again.
T_T
I've been so swamped with volunteer stuff, work, and studies!
Anyways!
Today we had our annual club fest! :D :D
Basically, club fest is the time that all the clubs come out and try to get new members and volunteers.
And donations.....
Which was what I was trying to get. :P
All proceeds go to vision-restoring surgeries! :D
Anyways,
I never realized how much work being VP of campus fundraising is!
I have to brain storm and think of ideas and all sorts of stuff!
I should have gone for something easier like VP of finance or something.
I never see him around and it seems like all he does is count the coins money we make!
So, I started bright & early setting up,
Went to class then went back and tabled for the rest of the day. :/

a lil game we had.. throwin darts at moi! :P
Anyways,
This is our second Unite for Sight event of the month,
And we've managed to surpass our monthly quota!
As VP of C.F-- YESSSSSSS!!!!!!!
Anyways,
There's tons of free stuff to collect at club fest! :D

Frisbee, hot sauce, chapstick, pen, notebook, magnet, glasses cleaner
free shirt! :D
There was actually a whole lot more cool free stuff to get!
Like a green lantern ring that lights up! And cute shades.
Unfortunately I was too busy tabling! :(
This is my second time tabling at club fest,
First time was last year. And for cheerleading....
Which means, twice now, I haven't been able to collect all the goods. :/
However!
This year I did manage to make myself a custom button!! :D :D
But it looks ugly cause I did it on 1 of my H2O breaks. :(
All in all,
It was fun though! :D
Was suppose to end the day with going to a concert,
But.... It rained and my friends and I were tired!
So, rather than being even more behind in my studies,
Here I am,
..Doing them..

Spidey Rapture

So I should really be doing my assignment & readings,
Cause we all know I have a lot.
(2nd week of classes and I'm ALREADY behind!!!!!!)
But, I really wanted to share with you guys
about my daily trauma.
SO!
Another girly thing bout me is- I'm petrified by bugs.
Like I will seriously scream, no actually shriek (when bugs land on me)
Probably what I hate most bout trekking!
But anyways,
While I was getting ready for class today,
I picked up a shirt (with others, it fell on the floor :P )
And suddenly, I notice this small brown thing running out from the pile onto my wall!!!

Right there!!!
And no, I didn't scream..
I rolled up news paper & like a big girl,
I took a swipe at it!
.......
No.. I lied..
Like a huge wimp I stood there in utter fear with my news paper. T_T
Where's my mommy when I need her???
Anyways,
Eventually I took my 1st swing!
And yes, this time I screamed.. :(
Spidey got a lil disoriented and a few legs were slightly crippled.
Then, with another unnecessary scream, I went for my second hit.
This time spidey fell to the floor, legs all curled in. Dead.
YES!
*boom* *boom* (fireworks....)
Talk bout conquering your fears!!
BUT!
The horror wasn't over.
I unraveled the news paper (to scoop it up)
So I look away for a split second,
And when I looked back.
SPIDEY WAS GONE!!!!
*$%^&*$(%*$^(^$!!!
It was NO WHERE in sight!
How is that possible??
Totally freaked that it might have gotten in my hair,
Cause history has proven that bugs like my hair as a nest. WAH!
I flung my head upside down & started to give it a good whippin!
Anyways,
So what happened to it you ask?
Well, I've been thinking for a long time now,
Either, in that split second, it straightened its legs and ran away lightning fast
-unlikely-
Or, it was raptured.
I'm gonna go with this...
Anyways,
I think all of this would have been hilarious to watch!
Cause I was FREAKIN' OUT!
Plus, I was reaching for my shirt... which means..
I was doing all of this....
HAHA!
Lets not go there..
My only fear is that spidey takes residence on my bed.
 *Sigh*
Looks like I'm not gonna be sleeping in peace tonight.

Daddy's lil Girl

Well, more like
Daddy's lil boy.
To say that I'm not girly wouldn't be an overstatement.
My favorite toy as a child (which I still have till this day),
No, was not Barbie (although I had my fare share of)..
It was a tool set! :O
I begged my mom for it!
And finally I got it!!! :D :D
Nice to know I didn't conform to gender roles as a child! :P
I was so happy, I would pretend I was building things- for my barbies!
-I actually almost went into architecture btw!-
I even tried to get my sis to play with me, but she didn't want to.
She was happy with just Barbie.
I really want this one though!
You definitely know you're a tomboy when :
1. Your dad has to ask you to sit like a women!
2. When he wonders why you like to do things even he wouldn't do
:D
I'm not saying I'm a total boy!
I have a few girly necessities!
1. I try never to leave home without earrings!
(you can see my earrings in my drivers license & health card :P)
2. I coordinate my nail polish to match my outfit

had my sis do my nails for me!
3. When my ankle is visible, I have an anklet on.

4. I always wear my purity ring and another

Anyways,
Lately I've been skyping with my folks like EVERYday!
Sometimes I think skype is too great an invention
And it made me realize,
Unlike other people who try to hide their FB from their folks,
I ACTUALLY ask my dad to go on to look at my pics!!

He liked this one, cuz when we were young, we took this exact shot.
Imagine me with a boy cut (gum accident) and yup that's what I looked like at 4
Also,
Up till when I was 18 (& still living at home),
When my dad drops me off to class, I'd still get a kiss goodbye or give one! :D
I really am such a daddy's girl!! AHHH!!!
scary..
But!
The problem is,
That's exactly how they see me!
The youngest baby in the family- they keep telling me to grow up.
No matter what I do, my sis is still the daughter they're bragging about. :(
Even though I was/ have-
-Nominated valedictorian
-Climbed mountains
-Straight A's
-Gotten scholarships
-A job
-On the editorial board
-Went National & State lvl in RG
-Won at State & National lvl (every time I come back with medals they wouldn't believe it)

<3

-Became VP of campus fundraising for Unite for Sight
-Did tons of volunteer stuff
And! Due to school hours,
I've been waking up, making my own breakfast, heating my own lunch and staying home alone till my parents got home from work since I was 9!!
Even with all that I have done,
In my parent's eyes, I'll always be their spoiled bimbo baby
(there really is no pleasing Asian parents eh..)

another childhood reenactment pic,
rather than takin pics of me smiling, my parents decided Cranky Linnies was nicer :/
So, as much as I love being the youngest and getting my way
..sometimes..
I do wish my folks would see me as an adult.
And stop nagging me to be one.
*sigh*

1st Week of Classes

So I decided to do something new!!
Rather than writing and making you guys read how my 1st week of classes gone,
I decided to make a video!!
YAY!!
Figured it'd be easier and more entertaining!
But..
I was wrong..
Editing and piecing it all together, not easy.
And you all probably can read way faster than watching this long granny video..
So I'll probably only make a video for big things..
Like when I...... have nothing better to do...
It's a lil choppy, quality's bad and I sound nasally,
 But whateverrrrr...
1st video I ever made!!

Oh! Another good thing..
MY SCHOLARSHIP GOT RENEWED!!!!

I know I sound ditsy in this video, but I usually don't in real life!

The Things You See On The Bus (BOOBIES)

Before I came to Canada,
I NEVER rode public transport.
1. I could drive or had people drive me

Like my car? :P

2. I might not reach where I wanna go (it's dangerous :/ )
But now I have no car or license and can only travel by bus or subway.
BOOOO!!! WAAAHHHH!!
sniff.. sniff..
Okay, so it's not that bad. Actually it is that bad.
The bus comes late sometimes, stops every few minutes,
And makes me late for work. Damn..
Anyhow,
There's some pretty interesting things/ people you get to see on public transport.
-Drunk people
- Annoying people
- A lil not right up there people
- Tall people
- Short people
- Obese people
- Anorexic people
- Naughty kids
- Cute kids
etc, etc, etc
Something I've noticed is this

I <3 boobies bracelets
Looking for the image, I've just learnt that these are for breast cancer
But seriously??
I've seen so many lil girls (with no boobies) wear these.
A lil weird don't you think?? Kinda ironic even.
I mean there must be thousands of other ways to promote b. cancer awareness
-Like me using pink this entire blog post- :D
Today, I saw 2 of the most weirdest things ever
1st!
A lady with a parrot.
I was tempted to pet it to say the least. :P
Looked so pretty! Plus I love the movie Rio :D
- Not a fan of birds though- :S
Anyways, the lady kissed the parrot's beak
Kinda weird.. but who am I to judge!
2nd!
So I know it's "fashionable" for guys to wear their pants half way down their butt (I'll never know why),
But this guy took the cake.
His pants were UNDER his butt.
Yes, FULL CLEAR view of his boxers. (not even nice ones I might add)
This time, I was tempted to take a pic.
Not for keepsake but just to show you guys!
His 3/4 pants became long pants. I kid you not!
And! Out of no where, he started rapping to his reflection on the door
o.O
Anyways,
I've even seen a couple start off laughing and mushy to heated discussion, ending with silent treatment.
Ahh..
The things one sees when there really isn't anything else to do.. :(
That's all for now!
And, remember! Even boys get breast cancer too! :P

Compliment Haven

Today I went downtown again!! :D
Had a few things I needed to buy!
Then, I went to Chinatown and got a haircut!
<3
Absolutely adore going to this place!
Unfortunately, I have no idea what's the place called.
Hair & Nail Spa or something like that???
Anyways, the sign is pink and the place is pretty! <3
And of course most importantly,
The hair dresser is amazing!
She's Korean and is crazily good at cutting layers!
Plus,
She gives me a free juice box everytime! YAY!
I feel like such a kid! :D
Anyways,
Getting compliments bout my hair really isn't out of the ordinary.
It's thick (considering for an Asian), healthy, and natural (I've never dyed, straighten, or curled my hair b4).

ignore the pic, just look at my pony! :P
Even looks brown with high and low lights under the sun.

my brown locks!
photo credits to the awesome photographer Eu-tjin! C:

But the ladies that work in this salon are wayyy friendly!
When we walk in, we're always greeted with:
"Ahhhhh.. Beautiful girls!"
And when we leave they're super duper friendly too!
They're generally really nice people to talk too. C:
They keep telling my sis and I that we have VERY nice hair!
And today, she said our hair is very rare! LOL!
She's so cute! <3 hehe!
Well anyways,
Today is our 1 year anniversary of living on our own,
amazing I'm still alive
And I must say, what a nice way to celebrate and end the day!
