Daddy's lil Girl

Well, more like
Daddy's lil boy.
To say that I'm not girly wouldn't be an overstatement.
My favorite toy as a child (which I still have till this day),
No, was not Barbie (although I had my fare share of)..
It was a tool set! :O
I begged my mom for it!
And finally I got it!!! :D :D
Nice to know I didn't conform to gender roles as a child! :P
I was so happy, I would pretend I was building things- for my barbies!
-I actually almost went into architecture btw!-
I even tried to get my sis to play with me, but she didn't want to.
She was happy with just Barbie.
I really want this one though!
You definitely know you're a tomboy when :
1. Your dad has to ask you to sit like a women!
2. When he wonders why you like to do things even he wouldn't do
:D
I'm not saying I'm a total boy!
I have a few girly necessities!
1. I try never to leave home without earrings!
(you can see my earrings in my drivers license & health card :P)
2. I coordinate my nail polish to match my outfit

had my sis do my nails for me!
3. When my ankle is visible, I have an anklet on.

4. I always wear my purity ring and another

Anyways,
Lately I've been skyping with my folks like EVERYday!
Sometimes I think skype is too great an invention
And it made me realize,
Unlike other people who try to hide their FB from their folks,
I ACTUALLY ask my dad to go on to look at my pics!!

He liked this one, cuz when we were young, we took this exact shot.
Imagine me with a boy cut (gum accident) and yup that's what I looked like at 4
Also,
Up till when I was 18 (& still living at home),
When my dad drops me off to class, I'd still get a kiss goodbye or give one! :D
I really am such a daddy's girl!! AHHH!!!
scary..
But!
The problem is,
That's exactly how they see me!
The youngest baby in the family- they keep telling me to grow up.
No matter what I do, my sis is still the daughter they're bragging about. :(
Even though I was/ have-
-Nominated valedictorian
-Climbed mountains
-Straight A's
-Gotten scholarships
-A job
-On the editorial board
-Went National & State lvl in RG
-Won at State & National lvl (every time I come back with medals they wouldn't believe it)

<3

-Became VP of campus fundraising for Unite for Sight
-Did tons of volunteer stuff
And! Due to school hours,
I've been waking up, making my own breakfast, heating my own lunch and staying home alone till my parents got home from work since I was 9!!
Even with all that I have done,
In my parent's eyes, I'll always be their spoiled bimbo baby
(there really is no pleasing Asian parents eh..)

another childhood reenactment pic,
rather than takin pics of me smiling, my parents decided Cranky Linnies was nicer :/
So, as much as I love being the youngest and getting my way
..sometimes..
I do wish my folks would see me as an adult.
And stop nagging me to be one.
*sigh*

<3 XOXO
-Linnies-
